Locus of Control for University Students The LOCUS assesses in, a very broad manner, students' beliefs about their ability to control their own destiny. The Locus of Control concept suggests there are two kinds of people - those who believe that they are in control of the events in their lives (Internals) and those who believe that their lives are controlled by circumstances outside of their control (Externals). In the college environment, students who have a high Internal locus of controls think that the grades they receive are a result of how much they studied, while students who have a strong External locus of control might think that their grades are a result of how hard the test was or how much the professor liked them. A student's outlook on how much control they have over his or her college experience impacts motivation and willingness to push through the tough times.
Stress Barometer This assessment evaluates student stress and then automatically provides resources to address each identified stressor. The Interactive version also shares this information with a student's mentor.
PLSI (Personality) The Paragon Learning Style Inventory provides a measure of student cognitive and perceptual preferences. There are 16 learning type combinations (e.g. - ESFJ, INFP, INTP, etc.) and students receive an overview report, a detailed report and access to our Knowledge Module on Personality Types.
LASSI (Study Skills) The LASSI is a 10-scale, 80-item assessment of student awareness about and use of learning and study strategies related to skill, will and self-regulation components of strategic learning. The focus is on thoughts, behaviors, attitudes and beliefs that relate to successful learning and that can be altered and improved. Upon completion of the assessment, students receive an individualized action plan and access to learning materials to improve their weak areas.
Financial Awareness This assessment evaluates student understanding of basic finances. Once the pre-test identifies areas of weakness, students go through the Financial Awareness Knowledge Module. They then take a post-test to measure improvement.
DISC (Communication) The DISC Temperament Assessment categorizes individual behavioral characteristics. The characteristics are broken down into four categories: D - Driving, I-Influencing, S-Stabilizing and C-Conscientious. Knowing our temperament categories allows us to better understand ourselves and the ways we interact with others of differing temperaments. From a school's perspective, knowing student temperaments is useful in classrooms settings, advising, admissions and recruiting, marketing, coaching, mentoring and a myriad of other areas. Teaching your staff the DISC will help them to respond to the needs of your students in a far more effective manner.
Job Interest Profiler This U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration instrument is a self-assessment career exploration tool that can help students discover the type of work activities and occupations that they would like and find exciting. The process will help them to identify and learn about broad interest areas most relevant to you. The assessment is composed of 180 items describing work activities that represent a wide variety of occupations as well as a broad range of training levels. At the end of the assessment, students will receive an accurate, reliable profile of their vocational interests that: 1. Provides valuable self-knowledge about your vocational interests, 2. Fosters career awareness, and 3. Provides a window to the entire world of work via the 900+ occupations within the database.
Work Importance Profiler This U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration career exploration tool helps students to focus on what is important to them in a job. It then identifies occupations that they may find satisfying, based on the similarity between their work values (such as achievement, autonomy, and conditions of work) and the characteristics of the occupations.
Sensory Learning Styles The Sensory Learning Style Assessment helps students find out what their primary and secondary learning style preferences are (Visual, Auditory, Tactile or Kinesthetic). It will also give them some customized study techniques that will help them get the most out of their classes with the least amount of academic stress.
Navigator The Navigator assessment identifies a student's particular areas of need and then rank orders the Campus ToolKit resources that will meet these needs. That gives students a personal map that they can use to progress through the system. Alternatively, the school may program a default list that can serve as a class syllabus.

Career Search This tool allows students to search the database of over 900 careers. The results include information from the O*NET 10.0 database from the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration, and the Bureau of Labor Statistics, U.S. Department of Labor, Occupational Outlook Handbook, 2004-05 Edition.
DISC Speed Reader This tool helps students identify the DISC profile of other people they know. Knowing their DISC score allows for better communication.
DISC Compatibility Analyzer The Compatibility Analyzer compares two DISC profiles and identifies synergies as well as challenge areas.
DISC Group Analyzer The Group Analyzer identifies the DISC profile trends of groups. This encourages groups to gain increased awareness of the internal dynamics and to function more effectively.
Personal Mission Statement Students use this interactive template to create their own personal mission statement.
Savings Calculator Use the savings calculator to see the power of interest compounding over time.
Budget Creation Wizard Use this interactive template to create a personal budget.
Resume Templates Microsoft Word templates for your students to download to create resumes and cover letters.

System Orientation This Flash video introduces students to the Campus ToolKit system.
Philosophy What is Campus ToolKit and why am I doing it? Make sure your students understand WHY they are using our system with this Philosophy statement.
Stress Management The Stress Management knowledge module gives students an overview of what stress is exactly and how the body reacts to it. Then the Stress Management Knowledge Module teaches students how to relieve stress and prevent it from reoccurring.
Procrastination Along with fear, procrastination is the most common downfall to any goal. It also kills motivation: the energy behind your ideas and goals dissipates the more you procrastinate. All of the talent, great ideas and goal setting in the world cannot compete with procrastination. The Procrastination Knowledge Module teaches students how to overcome it.
Indecision Because it can be so difficult to decide on things like majors, goals, life direction, shoes, and what to order at Burrito Barn, we've developed this little guide. Think of it as a visit to the decision doctor, but without all those forms to fill out. Students can come back and visit anytime they start to feel the discomfort of indecision - no appointment necessary!
Note taking Note-taking forms the core of student study techniques and getting it right can make studying a lot easier in college. There are many techniques to take notes, and finding one that works for each student is as easy as experimenting with a few methods and seeing the result. We've included three specific ones here for students to try.
Sensory Learning Styles This Knowledge Module teaches students about Visual, Auditory, Tactile and Kinesthetic learning styles.

Motivation & Goal Setting The Motivation & Goal Setting module illustrates that what students achieve in life is completely up to them. It is determined by their beliefs, attitude, and ability to take action in the face of fear, and on the back of failure.
Money Management This extensive Knowledge Module has ten chapters: Financial Aid, Student Loans, Banking, Savings, Budgeting, Credit and Credit Cards, Bankruptcy Basics, Cars, Traveling and Money, and Health Insurance.
Time Management One of the most common issues students face is time management. This Knowledge Module helps students develop better skills in this crucial area.
Critical Thinking The critical thinking module teaches students the basics of learning to think critically. It then examines their temperament assessments, such as the DISC, PLSI and Locus of Control for University Students, to help them identify the specific challenges and opportunities that their natural temperament profile presents in learning to think critically. Includes reflective writing exercises.

To Do List A simple way to prioritize and track things that need to be done.
Notebook Students can use the Add Notes feature while they are reading the information on our website to save pertinent information to this notebook. Then they can print their notes out later or read them online to study.
eFolio Every assessment result is stored in the eFolio for easy access.
Journal This is simply an online journaling area for students to record their thoughts. In the interactive version, this feature is shared with the students' mentors.
Goals This tool helps students identify their goals and create step-by-step, dated action plans to reach those goals.
Calendar Students may use this calendar to track things in their personal lives, but every time they create a goal or work with a feature in the system that uses dates, these are automatically added to their calendar. The interactive version also allows mentors to post items to students' calendars.
Reminders Students can create a digital reminder for themselves here. On the date specified, the system will email the reminder to the student.
Messages Students can send and receive messages to their mentors and coaches using this feature. The messages are delivered within the Campus ToolKit system and students have the option to have new mail notifications forwarded to their outside email accounts.
Add Notes Students can make notes from every page on the website using the Add Notes tool. These notes are categorized and stored for later viewing or printing.
Help Screens Students can access the Help Screens from every page. There they will find simple instructions and Flash tutorials that make learning the system easy.

Group Administration School personnel can create and manage groups of users in Campus ToolKit.
Reports One of the nice things about having your students work online is that all the information is available to you at your fingertips. Our reports include assessment reports to show you all of your student's results. You can also see usage reports to monitor who's logging in. In addition to these basic reports the system also includes reports such as the At-Risk Student report, Student Comments, Student Service Requests, Average Contentment Levels, Weekly Summary and the Watch List report. There are also several reports available via email.
Trigger Word Administration One of the Stress Barometer questions asks students how they are feeling. Schools have the ability to write customized messages for students when they choose particular words. Schools can also choose to suppress certain words from displaying.
Online Training We provide free training for mentors and coaches. There are several options for this training, but the most popular is to take advantage of the many Flash tutorials and online training screens included in the system.
List Students The List Student screen shows all student users, their most recent stress level, their most recent login date, their mentor, email address, major, section and userID. These screens can be sorted in a variety of ways and can be exported to Excel.
Student View Options The Interactive edition allows mentors multiple options for viewing student information. Schools also have options for restricting access to particular information.
Export Capabilities Most reports in Campus ToolKit may be exported to Excel or Word.
Watch List The feature allows you to track and monitor at-risk students.
Privatization Options Schools decide who has access to student information. Some schools choose a team mentoring approach, others decide to make the mentoring relationship completely private.
Coach Dashboard All critical data is displayed on this one convenient page. One glance tells you what you need to know.

2-Way Messaging Students and mentors can send messages back and forth on the website. If users choose, they may have these messages forwarded to their outside email accounts.
Interactive Journaling Mentors can post questions for students to respond to in their journals. Mentors are notified of new responses on their dashboards.
Service Requests Students can request assistance through Campus ToolKit
Comments Students are encouraged to tell Mentors what is going on in their lives.
Suggestion Box We actively solicit ideas to benefit the school from students.
Site Feedback Most of our development is done in response to user feedback.
Community Students can use this area to get to know one another. Schools have the option of turning this feature off if they wish to.
Profiles Students create profiles as part of the account activation process. This is useful to their mentors and students may also choose to display their profiles on the community page to their classmates if they want to.
Participation Lottery This feature randomly selects a prize winner from all students who have logged in within a given time frame and completed a stress barometer assessment. This encourages students to login and participate.
Institutional Event Calendar Post school-related events to this calendar for your students to access. These events will also show up on each individual student's calendar.
Document Posting Upload important documents for your students to access.
Interactive Home Pages Students can see notifications of new information and messages and they can also initiate dialogue with their mentors from the home page.
